Locking down anti-social behaviour - an introduction to Public Spaces Protection Orders

In the third instalment of her series on community safety law during the lockdown, Kuljit Bhogal discusses Public Spaces Protection Orders.

Public Spaces Protection Orders impose controls on public spaces. The transitioned orders which existed before the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 expire in October 2020 after which date there will be no controls on anti-social behaviour in public spaces unless the local authority has made a PSPO.

In this third and last video, Kuljit explains the test that must be satisfied in order for a PSPO to be made and the related case law.
